Retailers/Contractors
The following information is for appliance retailers or contractors (vendors, recycling facilities, etc.).
The new Winter 2010 appliance rebate program will be a consumer program and the consumer is responsible for filling out the paperwork correctly. Retailers are encouraged to help Texas residents understand the eligible products and the rebate process. Sign up to be the first to learn about the new rebate program via e-mail and Twitter updates.
How to Become a Recycling Partner
If you offer recycling services and would like to become a Recycling Partner, you will need to sign and submit the Recycling Agent's Acknowledgment form. If a corporate office wishes to register the form for all of its Texas retail locations, please indicate this on the form.
The form for the new Winter 2010 appliance rebate program will be available in mid-September. Please sign up for e-mail updates specific to Retailers and Contractors to be notified when the new form is available.
Please note that consumers will not be required to use the retailers and recyclers on the Partner Recycling Agent list to recycle old appliances. The list will simply serve as a courtesy source of information for consumers.
Recycling Agents are defined as retailers or persons/entities that remove, receive or replace refrigerators, freezers, water heaters, room air conditioners, clothes washers, dishwashers, central air conditioners, and heat pumps for the purpose of recycling the appliance(s).
