Texas Appliance Mail-In Rebate Program
Between Dec. 20, 2010 and Mar. 9, 2011, Texans could purchase appliances and participate in the Texas Appliance Mail-In Rebate Program. The goal of the program is to promote awareness of ENERGY STAR® appliances and decrease energy consumption by encouraging appliance replacement. Rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis until all funds are distributed.
NOTICE OF PROGRAM CLOSURE:
The Texas Appliance Mail-In Rebate Program has approved most of the $18.5 million in available funds to help Texans purchase energy efficient appliances. Due to low fund availability, the program closed to new applications on Wednesday, March 9, 2011.
If you already applied for a rebate, your application will be processed and reviewed for eligibility. Please allow up to four weeks for the processing center to show receipt of your application and up to eight weeks to fully verify, process and finalize your rebate application.
Payments for rebate resubmissions will only be fulfilled if funds are still available at the time of a complete and accurate resubmission. Due to low fund availability, your rebate cannot be guaranteed.
Texas residents who submitted their appliance rebate application may check their rebate status online or by calling toll-free (855) 556-1312. Only complete applications will be marked as “Received”, which means your rebate application has been received and entered into the system. It will be validated next. A “Rejected” status reflects either an invalid/incomplete or denied application.
More Ways to Save
For certain appliances, you may have another chance to save during the upcoming Texas ENERGY STAR® Sales Tax Holiday. Federal tax credits for energy efficiency improvements to residential homes have been extended for 2011, check out Offers and Incentives for details.
