Property Tax Financing:In 2009, the 81st Texas Legislature passed House Bill 1937, which enables homeowners to finance their solar panels through their property tax bills over a few decades instead of paying upfront. Texas municipalities now have the authority to enact property tax financing for energy improvements to different properties. Many municipalities are still defining their processes for this program. Please check program availability with your municipality. |
